FTL Booking Checklist — What to Prepare

Having this information ready makes the quote quicker and avoids delays on loading day.

  • Know your cargo weight and volume (cubic feet or number of pallets).
  • Know the exact pickup address and delivery address, including pin codes.
  • Check if a loading dock or forklift is available at both ends.
  • Know the value of the goods — needed for transit insurance and the e-way bill.
  • Check whether your goods need an e-way bill for the journey.
  • Keep a goods description ready — needed for the consignment note.
  • Know the date you need the goods delivered by and tell us when you ask for a quote.
  • For fragile or high-value cargo, ask about extra packing with bubble wrap, corrugated sheets and stretch film.

Frequently Asked Questions

FTL (Full Truck Load) means you hire the entire truck for your cargo alone. LTL (Part Load) means your goods share space with other shippers' goods in the same truck. With FTL, your goods are not loaded and unloaded alongside anyone else's.

An e-way bill is usually required when goods above a set value are moved, especially across state borders. The value limit and rules are set by the government and can change, so check the current rules for your shipment.

Estimate your cargo weight and volume. A 1 BHK household usually fits a 14-foot truck. A 2 to 3 BHK household usually needs a 17 or 20-foot truck. For commercial cargo, share the weight and pallet count and we will suggest a size.

Tell us if you need loading and unloading help. Your written quote states clearly what is included and lists every charge.

It depends on the route. We confirm the pickup and delivery dates in your written quote before you book.
